2-Bromobenzenesulfonyl Chloride (CAS: 2905-25-1), also known as o-Bromobenzenesulfonyl Chloride, has been more and more widely used as an important organic intermediate. In addition to being used for the synthesis of bioactive insecticides, it is increasingly showing its potential application value in the field of new drug research, which can be used for the synthesis of angiotensin Ⅱ AT1/AT2 receptor antagonists, and the synthesis of endothelin receptor antagonists.
Add o-Bromophenol (18.9g, 0.1mol),75ml of water and 75ml of Dichloromethane to a 250ml three-neck bottle, stir with chlorine gas, and react at 5-10℃ for 1h. The mixture is diluted with 300ml dichloromethane, then washed with cold 5% sodium bicarbonate solution (2x50ml), washed with water (3x100ml), dried with anhydrous magnesium sulfate, and concentrated to obtain yellow solid.
