N-Boc-L-Tryptophan (Boc-Trp-OH) (CAS: 13139-14-5) is an N-Boc-protected form of L-Tryptophan. L-Tryptophan is an essential amino acid that is important for cell proliferation and the biosynthesis of proteins. It is a precursor to Serotonin (HCl: S274980), a neurotransmitter that compound that aids in sleep and mental state. L-Tryptophan is also thought to cause eosinophilia-myalgia syndrome.
Boc-Trp-OH, amino acids and derivatives, peptide synthesis, organic synthesis intermediate, pharmaceutical intermediates, biochemical reagents. Used for the synthesis of polypeptides and as a protective monomer for amino acids.
Production method: L-Tryptophan and tert-butoxycarbonyl azide are used as raw materials for acylation reaction, and then the product is obtained by ether extraction, 5% sodium chloride washing and petroleum ether recrystallization.
