Storage Condition: Store in sealed containers at cool and dry place; Protect from light and moisture

Fire Hazard: Highly Flammable: Will be easily ignited by heat, sparks or flames. Vapors may form explosive mixtures with air. Vapors may travel to source of ignition and flash back. Most vapors are heavier than air. They will spread along ground and collect in low or confined areas (sewers, basements, tanks). Vapor explosion hazard indoors, outdoors or in sewers. May polymerize explosively when heated or involved in a fire. Runoff to sewer may create fire or explosion hazard. Containers may explode when heated.

FAQ:

Application:

Butyl Vinyl Ether (stabilized with 0.01% KOH) (CAS: 111-34-2) is used as chemical reagent, organic intermediate. Butyl Vinyl Ether is a reagent used in organic chemical reactions and the preparation of pharmaceutical compounds used in anticancer therapy. It is also used in the synthesis of potent inhibitors for PDE5. It is also used in the synthesis of copolymers and as an acrylic/vinyl acetate resin comonomer. For organic synthesis, can be used for polymerization and copolymerization of polyethylene ether production, also used in coatings, adhesives, additives, plasticizers and so on. Butyl Vinyl Ether is mainly used as reactive diluent, for example in the radiation curing of hybrid polymer coatings for paints, inks, adhesives, etc., which transform within a few seconds to a solid state through a chemical reaction, and as co-monomer (with Olefins, Siloxanediols and Diisocyantes for example). In coatings a solid and dry film is formed.

Health Hazard: Inhalation or contact with material may irritate or burn skin and eyes.  Fire may produce irritating, corrosive and/or toxic gases.  Vapors may cause dizziness or suffocation.  Runoff from fire control may cause pollution.
