Bis(2,6-Diisopropylphenyl)carbodiimide (Stabilizer 7000) (CAS: 2162-74-5), is classified as a representative species of monomeric carbodiimide hydrolysis-resistant stabilizer and it is widely used in polycondensation class engineering plastics (PET, PBT, PA, etc.), biobased and biodegradable plastics (PLA, PPC, PHA, etc.) and polyester type polyurethane elastomer, adhesives and coating systems , which gives excellent hydrolysis resistance to prolong service life of products under harsh working conditions such as high temperature and moist conditions .
Stabilizer 7000 can be used as hydrolysis-resistant stabilizer in PU system , adhesives and PET, PBT. The recommended dosage range is 1pbw /100pbw polyester polyol in PU systems , about 1.0 to 2.0 parts relative to solid content(by weight) in adhesive system.,and about 1.0 to 2.0 parts ( by weight) in PET and PBT system.
Stabilizer 7000 is an important stabilizer of polyester products (including PET, PBT, and PEEE), polyurethane products, polyamide nylon products, and EVA etc hydrolyze plastic. Can also prevent water and acid attacks of grease and lubricating oil, enhance the stability. Can improve the hydrolysis resistance stability performance and service life of many polymers, especially at high temperature under the condition of damp, acid and alkali, including PU, PET, PBT, TPU, CPU, TPEE, PA6, PA66, EVA and so on.
Stabilizer 7000 can prevent the lower molecular weight polymer in the process.
Dosage: PET and polyamide monofilament fiber production injection molding products: 0.5-1.5% Upscale polyols polyurethane TPU, PU, elastomer and polyurethane adhesive: 0.7-1.5% EVA: 3-5%.
Stabilizer 7000 is a steric aromatic carbon diimide anti-hydrolysis stabilizer. It reacts with hydrolytic products carboxylic acid or water to prevent the degradation of autocatalytic hydrolysis and improve the service life of many polymers, especially in high temperature and humidity and acid and alkali environment and other harsh service conditions.
In addition to acting as an anti-hydrolysis stabilizer, Stabilizer 7000 can also be used as a processing aid to prevent the reduction of molecular weight of the polymer during the extrusion process, thereby reducing the damage to the polymer during the process. Mainly used for the stabilization of polyester products (such as PET, PBT and TPEE), polyurethane products (such as PU system, MDI prepolymer, TPU, adhesive), polyamide nylon products and EVA and other easily hydrolyzed plastics hydrolysis stabilizer.

Stabilizer 7000 can be used for TPU, antihydrolysis PU slurry, casting PU elastomers and the production of TPU: The recommended dosage is 0.5-2.0 phr. It can bring about an up to 3-7 times hydrolysis resistance capacity.
Polyester polyol: The recommended dosage is 0.5-1.0 phr. It can rapidly reduce the acid value.
TPU:The recommended dosage is 0.5-2.0 phr. It can significantly improve the mechanical properties of polyester (70℃ Boiling experiment).
