2-Amino-5-Mercapto-1,3,4-Thiadiazole (CAS: 2349-67-9) is used as Pharmaceutical and Pesticide Intermediates. 2-Amino-5-Mercapto-1,3,4-Thiadiazole is a thiadiazole derivative with antibacterial acitivity used in the preparation of herbicides as well as carbonic anhydrase inhibitors.
2-Amino-5-Mercapto-1,3,4-Thiadiazole was used to prepare new amines exhibiting anti-convulsant activity.
2-Amino-5-Mercapto-1,3,4-Thiadiazole is also Acetazolamide EP Impurity G. Acetazolamide is a drug used for the treatment of glaucoma,epilepsy,altitude sickness,periodic paralysis, chronic macular edema, idiopathic intracranial hypertension, andheart failure.
