N-Hydroxy-5-Norbornene-2,3-Dicarboximide (HONB) (CAS: 21715-90-2) is used in solution-phase peptide synthesis. Used in the synthesis of enkephalin analogs. HONB has been reported that its effect is better than N-Hydroxysuccinimide (HOSu,NHS). In peptide synthesis, it is an effective reagent for connecting with DCC. HONB decreases racemization in peptide synthesis and inhibits formation of N-acylureas. Generation, and obtain a high-yield peptide; the corresponding chloroformate can be used to introduce different types of amino protecting groups.
