Vildagliptin, developed by Novartis (Novartis) Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd, is another oral administrated inhibitor of Dipeptidyl peptidase-IV after Sitagliptin. In 2008, it is approved for marketing in the European Union for the treatment of type 2 diabetes.
